Privacy and media policy

Plain language, no surprises.

We are a small nonprofit run by musicians. This is everything we do with what you give us, and exactly how a student ends up in a photo or a video.

What we collect
Only what it takes to run a lesson: a student’s first and last name and age, a parent or guardian’s name, email, and phone, the kind of lesson wanted, and anything you choose to tell a teacher.
Teacher and partner forms collect a name, contact details, and what you write to us. The site itself sets no tracking cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies or personal identifiers.
How we use it
To schedule an interview, match a teacher, run lessons, and reply to you. If you tick the box for news, we send occasional updates about recitals and the program, and every message has an unsubscribe link.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone outside the people who run the program, except where the law requires it.
Where it lives
Form submissions are stored in a private database on Cloudflare in the United States and are deleted when they are no longer needed to run the program. Lessons happen over Zoom or Skype, whose own privacy terms apply during a call.
Student photos and video
No student appears on this site, on social media, or in any appeal without a parent or guardian’s signed release that names each use. The release carries a line for the student’s own assent, and it can be withdrawn at any time by emailing us. We take the media down within 48 hours of a request.
We publish first names and ages only. Lessons recorded over video need a separate line on the release. In a hospital, the hospital’s media office signs off first, and nothing in frame identifies another patient.
We never use stock images or computer-generated images of children. Illustrations on this site of rooms and instruments contain no people.
Music in published videos
Only public-domain repertoire or original student work appears in anything we publish. We do not post cover songs without a written license.
